This is an image of my Final Google sketch up project. We put all of the things we learned form the beginning and made a 3D floor plan of our dream house. Before we made our model on google sketchup; we created a sketch of our floor plan on paper. Now that I have created my 3D model of my dream home, I can now make my real life 3D model.

For the final activitiy we put all the skills we learned while using google sketch up to the test. The directions asked us to create a house identical to the example given. The material on the house as well as the lanscaping had to look the same as the example.

Google sketch-up is a program that allows you to create 3-D objects. You are able to build 3-D objects and see every angle you wish to see. It is easy to learn, and not hard to make objects. The tools are easy to use as well. If you understand what the tools are there should be no problem. The tools icon aren't hard to understand it is pretty simple, but there are so that may be confusing. Other than that it is pretty simple. If you are really good you can make anything on there and see a 3-D view of it. Google sketch-up can be a useful tool if your work require you to make blueprint. It is also very fun to do. To can have fun doing it, but it not something you'll do all the time though. That is what I learned about Google sketch-up.

Tutorial part 3

In this turial I didnt really learn any new material. The only new thing I was introduced to was the option to veiw your object differently.

Google skketch up tutorial 2

During this tutorial we made what looks like a 3D house. In the tutorial I added extra objects in my scene. Then I added roofing and brick textures to make it look more realistic. Finally I added and edited the shadows for the building, tree, and person in the scene.

With sketch up you can do things you wouldn't be able to do on a 2D drawing. In 3D your drawing will look more realistic.I learned that when you use the orbit tool you can look at your 3D image at different angles.Another good tool to use is the rectangle tool. You use the rectangle tool to make different sized rectangles. To make the rectangle 3D, you use the push/pull tool. This tool can be use to make the rectangle taller, shorter, longer, or wider.

Sketch up is a great program to use.Being able to  create 3D images shows your creativity and also helps with better understanding a design or an idea.

Wordle

Wordle is a very fun website to use.It was very easy to understand and navigate the website. You can make creative word collages on wordle.I would use wordle again in the future.I think it is a great tool to use for school projects and presentations. When you create a word cloud you can edit it the way you want it to look. You can rotate and move the words in your cloud.Another thing I like about wordle is that you can change the colour scheme of your collage. When you are done with your wordle you can share it with friends or keep it for yourself and print it out.

Good and bad website designs

I learned a lot about good and bad website designs. One of the first things you have to know about is the text. It should be big enough to read, not the same color as the background so it is east for others to read. The second thing is navigation. Your site should have links that make it easy to get around. You should have good graphics and your page should look simple and load up quickly.

Here are some examples of bad website designs. The first design feature of a bad design is if the background is a dull color and doesn't pop.If your website is not exciting to look at viewers will become uninterested.  The second thing is if the text is too small to read it will be hard to read and it will look un attractive on you website. The links shouldn't be the default blue color, they should match your website, and most of all they should work. A bad sight will have bad navigation and and it's to cluttered where you can't go any where. It will have a bad overall design overall.

Wind turbine reflection

I learned allot while doing the wind turbine project.Wind turbines can be used as a renewable energy resource. How a wind turbine works: the blades spin when they catch wind.when the blades spin this causes a charge to be sent down to a battery that holds the electricity.wind turbines can be used in residential areas, but they are allot smaller that the ones that are located in rural areas. I think that wind turbines relate to technology because they were created to solve a problem.
